53rd Annual Lititz Antiques Show Will Take Place June 26 And 27

Show Will Be Held In New Location At Warwick Middle School

June 8, 2015

For the second time in its 53-year history, the Lititz Historical Foundation (LHF) will stage its well-known annual antiques show at Warwick Middle School, located at 401 Maple St. in Lititz, Pa. The middle school is located directly behind Warwick High School and was a show location in the 1960s and ’70s.
The antique show will be held on Friday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission will be $9 or $8 with an ad.
This show is a longtime special fundraising event for the 1792 Johannes Mueller House and remains among the oldest continually running antiques shows in the country. Promoted as "an old-time country show," the celebration draws more than 40 dealers from several northeast states specializing in country primitives, textiles and folk art. Shoppers can expect to find country wares of many varieties, holiday and kitchen items, redware, stoneware, Pennsylvania German art and so much more.
"We felt the time for a move to a larger venue was right. The middle school is a first-rate facility for our show. It's larger than the elementary school, has excellent lighting, more than ample parking, and a beautiful atrium next to the gymnasium. The atrium has plenty of natural light provided by two stories of floor to ceiling windows. You need to see it to appreciate it. I think dealers will love it there," said show organizer Ken Martin.
The exhibitor list includes dealers who have been doing the show for one, two, and even three decades. Examples include Lisa Breisch, Cheryl Mackley, Polly Hagen, the Wilhides, Al and Ruth Rogers, plus others. Dealers new to the show include Rick and Bobbi Heim, Craig White, and Mary Zaniewski, to name a few.
The annual LHF membership bake sale benefit will be held in conjunction with the antiques show. An array of homemade baked goods will be for sale in the lobby area. Some items are ordered a year in advance and pre-sold, but the majority of items, which include pies, desserts, cookies, breakfast trifles, and pastries, are more than fit for the antiques lover.
For the first time in its history, show attendees will be able to purchase breakfast or lunch from a food service truck outdoors adjacent to the show building entrance. Hungry antique shoppers will find an extensive menu and may eat comfortably in the air-conditioned school cafeteria.
