Results Announced From Ken Reed's March 22nd Sale

On March 22, the Ken Reed Auction Company of Saint Peters, Pa., hosted a well-attended sale at the Limerick Fire House. A large range of merchandise was for sale, and items brought steady prices. The following includes some of the items sold at this auction. (The prices do not reflect a 10 percent buyer's premium).
A very clean 18 horsepower John Deere tractor with snowblower attachment sold for $3,600. A oak hall rack with mirror and bench seat brought $550, and an oak wash stand sold for $175. Postcard albums featuring local postcards from the Phoenixville, Pottstown, and Reading, Pa., areas brought $165 to $350. Flats of local postcards ranged from $65 to $125. Local business calling cards went for $50 to $85 a flat, and an assortment of ornate picture frames sold for between $45 to $95. An arcade stereograph sold for $300, a 1842 coverlet signed “G. Christman of Hereford, Berks County” sold for $250, and Victorian hanging dining room fixtures brought from $175 to $225. A “Gone with the Wind” double shaded lamp brought $175, and a three-piece walnut marble top bedroom set sold for $325.
