Results From Joel Heisey Auction

An outstanding personal property auction for Doris E. and the late Clarence Lausch was conducted by Joel Heisey in Schaefferstown, Pa., on Oct. 31, featuring a wide range of items such as automobilia collectibles and advertising, a watch collection, coins, and firearms. The sale attracted 335 registered bidders from seven different states.
Automobilia highlights were an Imperial Atlantic fuel pump with high arc globe selling for $3,600; an Erie fuel pump, $1,000; a Sky Chief pump, $800; and a Sky Chief reproduction globe, which sold for $240. A 1923 pair of tail lights sold for $450; a Waltham vehicle clock (not working) realized $110; an early auto anti-theft device also sold for $110; and a circa 1960 Vespa/All-State scooter (as is, without title) sold for $1,500.
Highlights from the watch collection included a 1995 Rolex Submariner selling for $4,500; a South Bend Studebaker 21 jewel gold filled pocket watch selling for $340; and a European key wind pocket watch, which sold for $200.
Coin highlights included a 1856 San Francisco $20 banded gold piece, $1,300, and (three) 2006 $50 gold pieces, selling for $1,200 each.
Guns sold included a 12-gauge Remington double barrel with hammers for $290; a 1862 Springfield muzzle loader (poor condition), $350; a double barrel pistol, $120; and a C. Sharps and Co. four shot pistol, which brought $600.
Among the general antiques and collectibles in the sale were a Bread and Cake cabinet, $100; a sandstone boot scraper, $410; a Dietz lantern with yellow globe, $140; a miner's lantern, $210; a cast-iron parrot doorstop, $160; snow shoes, $70; an early runner sled, $105; and a Regulator wall clock, $150.
