The Annual Fall Art And Antiques Festival At Creekside Grove Was Held Sept. 7

A New Show By Ros-Al Antiques And Events Set For Nov. 21 to 23

October 25, 2014

"The Annual Fall Art and Antiques Festival" at Creekside Grove, produced by Ros-Al Antiques and Events, was held Sept. 7 under spectacular blue skies. The show was located in the picturesque countryside of the endless mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. The grove, which features spacious grounds, was filled to capacity with over 50 antique dealers and artists from Pennsylvania and New York, in addition to food and specialty vendors. The nature trails and fishing pond, stocked by Tunkhannock Creek, as well as the gorgeous scenic views, added a special dimension to the event and created a country fair atmosphere. "Govinda Rose," the popular regional singing group who provided live music, and the horse-drawn carriage rides added to the enjoyment offered at festival.
Paul Daugevelo, co-producer of Ros-Al Antiques and Events, attributed the success to the variety of the activities presented. "From crepes to wine-tasting, to cupcakes by Nell Connolly of ‘PersoNellized Cakes’ to enjoying a lovely meal prepared by Russo's Catering out on the Creekside Patio, people stayed all day, enjoying everything we had to offer. By carefully selecting the finest vendors for our shows, offering the best and largest variety of antiques and the fine arts, in addition to the added activities such as the horse-drawn carriage rides and the beauty of the nature trails, all of this made the day a fabulous experience for all who attended," said Daugevelo.
"We firmly believe this is demonstrating that the area has a lot to offer as a destination for tourism,” said Chris Glinton, co-owner with Daugevelo of Ros-Al Floral and Antique stores in Forest City, Hawley, and Carbondale, Pa.
"At The Annual Fall Art and Antiques Festival at Creekside everybody had a great time spending the entire day here because of the quality of art and antique vendors, and all of the events going on ... as well as antique appraisals and antiques, vintage jewelry, oriental rugs, china, pottery, Native American pieces, glassware, toys, country art, fine art, and photography. It was all here. People came with friends and made new friends. Put this event on your calendar. We can guarantee a good time," said Glinton.
Ros-Al Antiques and Events will next turn their spotlight to the historic town of Carbondale, Pa., a Heritage Route 6 Community, with the presentation of the "Jewelry, Gems and Stocking Stuffers Antique Show." It will take place at The Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Building located at 27 N. Main St. in Carbondale, Pa. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Nov. 21 to 23. The preview party will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with live entertainment, wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, and evening carriage rides throughout the town. The hours on Saturday will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exhibiting dealers will offer holiday items along with jewelry, ornaments, ephemera collectibles, "stocking-stuffers," fine art Christmas cards, cut-glass, and a variety of smaller antiques. The Greater Chamber of Commerce Building is also home to "The Chamber Gallery," which features on-going fine art exhibitions of local artists with works for sale and will be the perfect setting for this new Ros-Al Foral Antiques and Events antique show.
