The Cash Register Collectors Club will hold their semiannual swap meet and meeting on Thursday, Nov. 13. The swap meet is an outdoor event and will be held this year from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the back parking lot at the Quality Inn & Suites located at 1600 E. Main St. in St. Charles, Ill. The club meeting will be held in the upstairs conference room at the same hotel at 3 p.m.
The swap meet is for club members and the general public to buy sell and trade antique cash registers, cash register parts and anything related to antique cash registers. The hotel will be providing a security guard to allow access for cash register sellers to park their cars and display their merchandise next to their automobile, van or truck. No large trucks will be allowed.
This event is a good way for buyers, sellers and interested parties to connect and to improve their collections while learning more about this fascinating hobby.
