Auctioneer Elvin E. Siegrist, 80, of Leola, Pa. (formerly of Strasburg, Pa.), passed away on May 21. Siegrist was a partner in Miller & Siegrist Auctioneers LLC for 40 years. He also auctioneered at the Leola Produce Auction for 24 years, along with many benefit auctions, including the MCC Relief Sale in Harrisburg, Pa. A lifetime honorary member of the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association, Siegrist also served with the Strasburg Fire Co. No. 1 and was a trustee and member of Stumptown Mennonite Church.
Surviving along with his wife of 59 years, E. Jane (Witmer) Siegrist, are three daughters, five grandsons, three great-grandchildren, a brother, Glen, and a sister, Lois.
