Aaron Zook Wheat Harvest Diorama Brings $12,100 At Witman Auction

Witman Auctioneers Inc., of Manheim, Pa., conducted an auction on March 8 at Enck’s Banquet Center at 1461 Lancaster Road in Manheim. There were 204 registered bidders, and the following are several noteworthy highlights and prices realized.
A 2001 Monaco Diplomat 40’ motorhome brought $20,900; an Aaron Zook 3-D diorama sculpture/painting depicting wheat harvesting sold for $12,100; and a gold pocket watch went for $825. A wooden jeweler’s cabinet sold for $385; and a grain-decorated flour chest sold for $275.
Witman has sold a lot of Zook dioramas. The work of the late Amish identical twins has a following and collectible market right now. Several area restaurants have them on display.
