The From the Farmhouse Show, now in its eighth year will take place in Elkton, Md., on Saturday, Oct 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This country and primitive show was started by Cecilia Taylor when she saw the need for more country shows in her area. Taylor holds the show every spring and fall indoors at the Edward Walls Building on the Fair Hill/Cecil County Fairgrounds. The dealer list includes people from all over, including, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Virginia, just to name a few.

Taylor also started the Leesport, Pa., show last December, held at the farmers market grounds, and plans to make it an annual event. Since starting the Elkton, Md., show, the promoter has also started a show in Canastota, N.Y., and Harrisonburg Va. These are all considered country shows.
The Elkton (From the Farmhouse) show is a crowd favorite with lots of great merchandise. Homemade food is also available at the show. Customers and dealers have stated each show has been getting better and better with fresh picked material offered in well-presented displays. The show has made progress since its humble beginnings eight years ago. It is full to capacity with 36 dealers. The fairgrounds are located at 4640 Telegraph Road in Elkton, Md.
