Auctioneer Steve Barr To Sell Partner’s Collection On Aug. 11 And 12 In Kinzers, Pa.

James S. Davis Jr., an auctioneer and partner for 34 years with Barr/Davis Auctioneers LLC, passed away at the age of 63 on March 9. His real estate and extensive collections of antiques and personal property will be offered at a two-day on-site auction on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 11 and 12, starting at 2 p.m. both days.
The auction will be held at 5124 Strasburg Road, Kinzers, Pa., and is being conducted by Barr/Davis Auctioneers LLC. Day one will feature tractors and lawn equipment, boats, fishing equipment, saddles and tack items, sleigh bells, branding irons, game mounts, 25-plus rifles and shotguns, duck decoys, cigar rollers and cutters, a tobacco sizing box, a rare Conestoga wagon wheel reamer, old butchering tools, large copper and butchering kettles, cannonball, axe head and arrow head collections, handcuffs and shackles, frog gigs, a bear trap, and much more.
Day two will consist of antique coins and collectibles, including rolltop and secretary desks, an oak jelly cupboard, a marble top dresser, trunks, early lamps, a large spinning wheel, iron animal and bank collectibles, tribal art, local milk and drug bottles, Coca-Cola and Pepsi collectibles, Mickey Mouse, Hamilton and other pocket and wrist watches, early political buttons, early rings and jewelry, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” books, German Bibles, Lancaster County history books, post cards, Berry’s Beauties paper pop-ups, Marilyn Monroe and other female star postcards, plus over 50 lots of gold and other old coins and currency, (12) 1 oz. gold Kugerrands, and military medals.
