Among the highlights were a pair of English Neoclassical Sterling candlesticks, dated 1768, which realized $1,200, and three Frank Weston Benson prints, which realized $2,400. A Georgian-style satinwood serpentine chest of drawers sold for $1,300. An eight-panel Chinese screen with porcelain tiles brought $4,000. A set of mahogany Hepplewhite style chairs realized $1,600; a Spode porcelain dinnerware service for 12 in "Chelsea Bird" pattern, $1,800; an orientalist marble bust of a young woman, $950; a room-size Persian rug, $6,750; and a Clare Leighton (British 1898-1989) wood engraving brought a strong $4,300.
