National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club To Hold 40th Annual Convention

Tulsa, Okla., To Host Event June 14 To 17

May 25, 2018

The Autumn Leaf china collectors are meeting again. The National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club (NALCC) will hold its 40th annual convention from Thursday, June 14, to Sunday, June 17, in Tulsa, Okla., at the Wyndham Tulsa.
The NALCC (2011 members) is that club that collects Grandma’s Jewel Tea dishes. Autumn Leaf dishes were made by Hall China and distributed by the Jewel Tea Company, which sold coffee, tea, spices and household items door to door from 1899 all the way to the 1990s.
Jewel Tea memorabilia includes spice tins and coffee cans along with the Autumn Leaf dishes. Every year at the convention, unusual items appear, which attests to the vast number of products sold by the Jewel Tea Company. Rare china items made as samples by Hall China and never ordered by the Jewel Tea Company, also appear at the annual show and the auction.
It was 40 years ago when Nancy Brock and Norma Jones got together at an APEC Pottery show and decided to start a collectors club for Jewel Tea dishes. The rest is history, and members Pat and Shorty Chance will host the 2018 convention.
The club’s auction, show and sell, ice cream social, and banquet, along with room sales and open forum, will take place over the four-day special event. There will also be a tremendous number of door prizes given away at the convention.
