Ros-Al Antiques And Events Also Announces Upcoming November Event

October 7, 2015

A community's celebrations reflect the character of the town and the people who live and work within that community. "The Pioneer City" of Carbondale, Pa., possesses a true legacy in the pride that each individual holds for his or her historic town.
Carbondale has undergone many changes over the years, with each era bringing its own defining hallmark, and this year’s Pioneer Nights Celebration proved to be an outstanding display of fun for all who attended the varied events planned to honor the Route 6 Heritage Community.
The Aug. 22 Pioneer Nights Celebration is organized every year by the Carbondale Pioneer Nights committee. Paul Daugevelo and Christopher Glinton, proprietors of Ros-Al Floral and Antiques, own and operate antique stores in Forest City, Hawley, and Carbondale, Pa., and sponsored Antiques in the Park in conjunction with the Pioneer Nights Celebration.
Ros-Al Antiques and Events has broadened its scope, turning to the full-scale production of antique shows and events. "We had reached an important milestone with the huge success of our efforts in creating the first, second, third and fourth annual Antiques in the Park in Carbondale, along with the new Great Summer Expo held at The Four Points by Sheraton this past June, with dealers from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. As proud board members of the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce, and with our important roots here in the "Pioneer City," we enjoy our continued relationship working with the city of Carbondale in presenting Antiques in the Park for the Pioneer Nights Festival in this beautiful and historic town," said Glinton.
"We had over 25 fine artists and antique vendors scheduled, who offered unique and wonderful wares which included amber, costume jewelry, toy trains, bronze pieces, drums, Coca-Cola memorabilia, vintage clothing, various artwork, and Depression glass, with appraiser Maggie Winfield on-hand as well. Admission was free. Memorial Park, City Hall and Main Street provided the perfect backdrop for this annual event, and Ros-Al Antiques and Events is supportive of all the efforts that go into the production of the Pioneer Nights Festival," added Daugevelo.
From the area's most popular bands to antiques in Memorial Park, carriage rides throughout the town, vendors of ethnic foods of the region, and the parade as the grand finale, every evening was filled with events to delight young and old.
"Our expectations were met, and our concept of multi-events happening simultaneously all day long is a great draw for the public. The city was filled with the events, atmosphere and charm of a traditional historic town,” said Glinton.
Ros-Al Antiques and Events has planned their next extravaganza to be held in Scranton, Pa., at The Four Points by Sheraton on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Nov. 6, 7, and 8, which will include a Friday night preview party. The admission will be $25 from 6 to 8 p.m., benefiting the Lackawanna Historical Society. Admission for the antique show on Saturday will be $7 and take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, $6, with a show card, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
