Salt City Holiday Antiques Show In Syracuse, N.Y., Slated For Nov. 23 And 24

Allman’s Shopping Spree Opens Holiday Season At NYS Fairgrounds

November 8, 2019

The Salt City Holiday Antiques Show will open the holiday shopping season the weekend before Thanksgiving, on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23 and 24, with more than 150 exhibitors at the New York State Fairgrounds (NYSF). The emphasis for this first of Allman Promotions’ three Syracuse, N.Y., shows will be timely for Christmas and holiday shopping, featuring gift giving ideas, seasonal decorations and early period antique home furnishings and décor, jewelry, folk art, fine art, and more.
Salt City Holiday Antiques Show changed the date from Thanksgiving weekend to the weekend prior starting last year with great response from attendees, allowing them to shop without the competition of the retail malls. The venue, the NYSF, is great for the show, with good food service, free parking, and even a sports bar for the rest breaks.
Each year this show has been a destination for shoppers looking for that special purchase. There will be wonderful stocking stuffers, especially jewelry, and timely and thoughtful presents for Hanukkah as well.
Among the exhibitors there will be the Colony Shop, of Fayetteville, N.Y., offering fine little antiques for home décor and gift giving; Easter Hill Antiques, of Sharon, Conn., with its collection of antique Christmas decorations and Georgian furniture; Susan Sauvageau, of Seneca Falls, N.Y., with Native American treasures; and Wilori Antiques, of Rochester, N.Y., with 19th-century furniture and accessories. These are just several examples of the variety.
The Salt City Holiday Show is one of three shows Allman produces in Syracuse in the Horticultural Building of the NYSF. Hours on Saturday will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission will be $7 either day or $8 for a weekend pass. There is plenty of free parking and great on-site food service. For GPS, use Center of Progress Building, 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, N.Y.
