Single Owner Collection Of Over 350 G.I. Joes And 650 Pop Culture Action Figures Head To Auction
Bodnars Sale To Be Held May 18
Assembling a collection of this scope takes passion and time. The late collector was not only an avid collector, but a maker of custom G.I. Joe figures and well known for his quality and attention to detail. He sold regularly at New York Comic-Con and online.
A large portion is from the 1980s and still in the packaging. Included in this section is a large grouping of Hall of Heroes figures, some boxed and some mint on the card. They feature his custom creations with the original figures. There are also G.I. Joe micro figures, the Rise of Cobra figures, action packs, and tons of loose figures, including many rare ones.
There will be hundreds of loose and carded 3.75-inch ARAH G.I. Joe figures, and vehicles such as a 1986 tomahawk helicopter (MIB), 1983 Japanese flying dragon (dragonfly) helicopter (MISB), 1985 high grade mint in sealed box "moray" hydroplane, 1986 cobra terror drone (MIB), U.S.S. Flagg aircraft carrier in box with original mailer box, 1984 hovercraft "killer whale" (MIB), 1983 "skystriker" jet (MIB), 1985 cobra "night raven" (MIB), and much more, along with many carded domestic and international carded figures.
The remainder of the collection focuses on many pop culture movies, TV shows, wrestling, comic books and comic action figures. The list is nearly endless.
This large auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center, located at 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison, N.J. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for preview.
