Witman Sells More Zook And Brunner Artwork

Witman Auctioneers Inc., of Manheim, Pa., conducted an auction on Feb. 23 at Enck’s Banquet Center on Lancaster Road in Manheim. The following highlighted items were sold:
A medium size Abner Zook three-dimensional diorama “Hay Making Time” brought $9,680, and a small size Aaron Zook circular diorama depicting wrens went for $1,980.
Two original Hattie Brunner watercolors sold. One was a winter scene with a pond and horse-drawn sleigh in foreground selling for $3,960, and the second was a winter scene with a covered bridge, $1,870.
A sterling flatware set sold for $1,265; a fox hunt tea set, $310; a child’s wooden wagon, $265; a large farm table, $330; a pewter cupboard, $440; and a high two-part paint-decorated cupboard went for $525. A Ned Foltz redware jar with eagle sold for $630, and a Foltz redware apple sold for $230.
