Special Glass And Lighting Sale To Take Place On May 18

Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates will conduct their 17th annual spring auction of 18th and 19th century glass and lighting on Wednesday, May 18 beginning at 9:30 a.m. EST. The sale will comprise a wide variety of American, English, and European wares featuring the 40-plus year collection of the late Franklin Stoneburner of Delavan, Wis.; selections from the Suzanne and Robert Fratus collection of Cape Cod, Mass.; the Anne Serra collection of Cuba, N.Y.; material deaccessioned by the Sandwich Glass Museum; plus other consignors.
Highlights will include a fine selection of 50-plus colored lacy salts including seven different boats; other rare pressed lacy tableware; fine Sandwich and other colored vases and candlesticks; whale oil and fluid lighting including many rare colored examples; fine cut overlay and other early kerosene lighting; a collection of Sandwich and other cologne bottles/dresser articles; New England and Midwestern free-blown wares; blown-molded glass including many rare examples of blown three mold; rare colored and colorless pillar-molded wares; early flasks and bottles; a collection of witch balls; Pittsburgh and other early cut glass; rare cup plates; blown and pressed toys/miniatures; antique paperweights; fine cut-overlay and marbrie-decorated wares; plus more.
