The 45th Pittsburgh Antiques Show and Sale is right around the corner, taking place Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 15 and 16. One of the longest running annual regional shows, there is truly always something for everyone at this popular event. Show hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, with an early buyers preview at 9. The hours on Sunday will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $7, or $12 for the early buyers preview. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge. The show is held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel- Pittsburgh South at 164 Fort Couch Road in Pittsburgh, Pa. The show committee does a good job keeping the offerings diverse. Many styles and periods of antiques are available at many price points. There will be holiday collectibles, eye-popping jewelry, fine art, vintage clothing, vintage toys, ceramics, rare ephemera, lighting, furniture, and, of course, glassware, since the area has a rich history in the glass industry. Nearly 50 fine vendors will be exhibiting items for sale. The show will have a special exhibit titled Our Favorite Glass. A portion of the proceeds of this show support the nonprofit Historical Glass Club of Pittsburghs ongoing efforts to have a permanent monument celebrating Pittsburghs historically significant glass industry. Tickets will be sold for the annual show raffle as well. To learn more, call 412-734-5279 or visit www.Pittsburghglassclub.org.
