A Celebration Of Life At The Emporium

Popular Co-Op Shop Remembers Two Of Its Dealers

February 28, 2020

The Historic Burlington Antiques and Art Emporium, with a heavy heart, announces the passing of two of its dealers: Bill Nickerson on Jan. 9, and two days later on Jan. 11, Sue Couch. Nickerson began his career as a Spanish foreign language teacher at Camden High School. He taught there for 32 years. Besides teaching, he was passionate about antiques. Nickerson worked at the Haddonfield Antiques Co-op for 17 years, and after it closed in 2016 moved his business to the Emporium in Burlington City. Sue Couch was one of the Emporiums original dealers when it opened in 2001. Sue worked for a pharmaceutical company for many years and enjoyed buying and selling antiques on the weekends. Couch always gave extra time to the Emporium, meeting, greeting, and conversing with the customers. Her smile and laughter will be greatly missed. The Emporium is located at 424 High St., Burlington City, N.J. For further information, call 609-747-8333. May God bless and keep both of you, you will always be in our hearts and thoughts forever.
