Locati LLC of Maple Glen, Pa., presented its October online auction from Oct. 5 to Oct. 19 and its November online auction from Nov. 2 to 16. Every month, Locati LLC offers an eclectic assortment of antique furniture, fine art, silver, coins, jewelry, Asian art, and much more. Most of the lots come from estates and private collections. Of special interest in the October sale was an R. Lalique vase in the Formose pattern that sold for $1,100, four pieces of Murano glass that brought $750, a 14-carat Vacheron & Constantin gold pocket watch selling for $1,100, and a 19th-century Tiffany & Co. Sterling mug that sold for $2,200. In the November sale, a strand of pearls with a large sapphire went for $2,100, an Art Deco period bronze head of a Native American by Georges Garreau sold for $1,300, and a lot of two silver items by William Spratling brought $900. The highest lot was a fine Chinese Famille verte vase that once belonged to the J.P. Morgan collection of Chinese porcelain, said Michael Locati, co-owner of Locati LLC. This item brought a strong $21,000 on a $5,000 to $7,000 estimate. Other notable lots in the November sale included a period American Chippendale ribbon back side chair that brought $3,500 and a pair of fine Derby porcelain plaques that sold for $2,300. We saw a surge of interest in our November offerings, commented Locati. We had a nearly even 50-50 percent of repeat buyers and people new to us, which is exactly what we want.
