On Sunday, June 7, Historic Rock Ford will host a free America250 Family Day event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event will include craft activities, interactions with living historians including the 1st Rhode Island Regiment and Leslie Bramlett as Hannah Till (George Washingtons personal cook during the Revolutionary War), and themed activities in the General Edward Hand Mansion and the Lancasters Revolutionaries focus exhibit in the John J. Snyder, Jr. Gallery of Early Lancaster County Decorative Arts. Concessions will also be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting Historic Rock Ford. The event is free, but registration is recommended for planning purposes at www.HistoricRockFord.org/special-events. Historic Rock Ford, located at 881 Rock Ford Road, Lancaster, Pa., is comprised of the General Edward Hand Mansion and the John J. Snyder, Jr. Gallery. It is owned and operated by the Rock Ford Foundation, a private, not-for-profit corporation.
