Locati LLC of Maple Glen, Pa., presented its October online sale from Oct. 1 to 15. It was comprised of over 500 lots, which included a wide range of material from rare Chinese porcelain to fine art.
Some items in this sale performed much better than anticipated. “Although we do market analysis for each lot, sometimes the bidding will far exceed our expectations,” said Michael Locati, co-owner.
Highlights from this online auction were a Sydney Mortimer Laurence (1865-1940) oil-on-canvas, which realized $5,250; a Pol Chambost (French 1906-83) art pottery vase, $4,700; and a group of Egyptian Ushabtis that brought $2,100.
Locati LLC, located in suburban Philadelphia, specializes in downsizing and estate liquidation. In addition to its monthly online sales, they conduct free appraisals every Saturday morning from 10 a.m to noon.
