Gibson Les Paul Junior Electric Guitar Sells For $8,030 At Witman Auction

Witman Auctioneers Inc., based in Manheim, Pa., held an auction of decoys, musical instruments, and tools on Tuesday, Jan. 9, in Havre De Grace, Md. There were 247 registered bidders, and here are a few of the star lots. A Gibson Les Paul Junior electric guitar was the top seller, bringing $8,030. A Gibson Dove guitar sold for $2,750, and a Gibson ETC 150 guitar, $1,320. A Fairbanks banjo realized $940, while a Guild acoustic guitar, $830. A pair of working duck decoys went for $500; an embroidered silk Japanese jacket, $410; and a vintage metal Craftsman machinist tool box, $290.
