The Pressing Iron and Trivet Collectors of America (PITCA), formerly known as The Midwest Sad Iron Collectors Club (MSICC), was founded in 1984 in Owatonna, Minn. The group was organized for the purpose of educational fellowship and study of sadirons and related items. Members hail from 42 states and numerous countries. Its quarterly newsletter, “Pressing News,” serves as an informational exchange on all things relating to pressing irons.
“Whether you have a collection of 9, 90, or 900 irons, you can share in the fellowship when club members meet at the annual convention to exchange information about their common hobby, as well as buy, sell, and trade irons, trivets, and other laundry-related items,” stated PITCA secretary/treasurer Jerry Marcus.
