Reata Pass Presents Its One Million Dollar Summer Auction

Reata Pass Auction Productions of Humboldt, Arizona, presents its sale of the 40 year collection of a prominent Northwest Coast antiques dealer and auctioneer, July 10, 11, and 12.
The auction, which takes place at 3525 S. Hwy 69 (in Humboldt), will include the "Howard Hughes 1936 Lincoln Boat tail Speedster," as well as the original race car "Mellow Yellow" used by Tom Cruise in the movie, Days of Thunder.
An outstanding variety of antiques to be auctioned includes: an 8’ tall Tiffany grandfather clock dated 1895; Rancho Santa Fe Mediterranean style dining room table, buffet corner hutch from the 1920’s; bow front china hutch; early English biscuit store display; dog head chairs; couches; oak desks; carved lion chairs; lawyer’s stacking bookcase; fainting couch; a marble and brass lobby table from the set of "Friends"; bowie knives, a cannon from the estate of Davis Holmes (founder of Harry & David’s); Ginger Rogers poster for Roxie Hart; Ginger Rogers’ personal necklace, given to her by Fred Astaire; a collection of French clocks, fine art by O.C. Seltzer, Olaf Weinhorst, N. P. Creasman, L. Taylor, Michael Coleman, Sisley, and others.
Other desirable items included in the auction are: German dolls; a "Shirley Temple" doll; gas pumps from Shell, Poly, and Union 76; a giant Toledo scale; old advertising signs; quilts; Indian beadwork pieces; two spectacular Chief’s blankets; Kachina dolls; Western memorabilia of boots, hats, spurs, chaps, and some excellent silver saddles; cuckoo clocks; German deer heads; numerous animal mounts; life-size wooden Indians; bronzes; old toys; a mechanical bank, circa 1880’s; an arrowhead collection; wristwatches and pocket watches; pottery by Van Briggle, Roseville, Weller, Royal Doulton; a carved ivory triptych; estate and modern jewelry; parlor lamps; glass by Tiffany, Galle, Lalique, and Webb; a jukebox by AMI, standup one-arm bandit floor model; a coin collection of gold bullion, old Morgan’s, collector coins, and others.
Unique items include a carved carousel Ostrich; an 1800’s child’s carriage; a silver Bohlin parade saddle; Ted Flowers parade saddle; Heiser saddle with headstall; Tom Mix silver parade shirt; and a pre-Columbian collection from the estate of C. W. Slagle, featuring a very fine Mayan jade mask.
