Special Holiday Events During Month Of December Slated For Ocean Grove, N.J.

November 16, 2018

Come to charming Ocean Grove, N.J., throughout the month of December for that holiday feeling akin to “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Beginning on Saturday, Dec. 1, step back in time and into a horse-drawn carriage for a fun narrated tour throughout this quaint town. Santa will be paying a visit to From Heart to Hearth, a multi-dealer antique shop at 62a Main Ave., so stop by and give your wish list, or make it come true yourself. There are plenty of specials and countless deals to be found.
The holiday festivities continue on Saturday, Dec. 8, with the ringing of bells at the porch of From Heart to Hearth, and the Victorian Holiday House and Inn Tour. Beautiful historic inns and residences will be opening their doors for a self-guided tour. On that evening, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association and the Greater Ocean Grove Community will host a live Nativity at 5 p.m., followed by a tree lighting and community sing-along in front of the Historic Great Auditorium.
On Sunday, Dec. 9, From Heart to Hearth will host a live musical event. Marjorie Koharski, flutist, and Keith Calmes, classical guitarist, will play holiday favorites starting at 1:30 p.m.
Then, Saturday, Dec. 15, Holiday Trolley Tours will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m., and visitors and residents can experience the lights of Ocean Grove. From 5 to 7 p.m., the trolley stops for treats and pictures with Santa. After any or all of these events, don’t forget to shop and dine in the downtown business district. At anytime during the month of December, over 50 private homes plus the entire downtown will be aglow with lights.
