S.H. Jemik’s Mail-Bid Sale

After a hiatus of over 5 years S.H. Jemik is once again offering a Mail-Bid Sale of Paper America/Paper Ephemera, Philatelic and Non-Philatelic Collectibles, including a section of Philatelic Literature. Closing date of the catalog listing of over 500 lots is June 25.
Featured in the auction is a complete run of H.L. Lindquists’ 1939-1948 Stamp Specialist, Volumes 1-20, (offered as individual lots or as a set if the set bid exceeds the individual bids), and a scarce copy of Handbook of the Mail in The Concentration Camps, 1933-1945 by Sam Simon.
There is a selection of stampless covers including a Trans-Atlantic 1851 envelope, Liverpool to New York, “Per First Steamer from Liverpool” with all correct markings; a Balloon Post flyer from the 1946 French Balloon Mail on The Neptune; A Pacific Coast Experimental Flight of Airmail Shore to Ship cover from The SS City of Los Angeles 1932; numerous items from various World’s Fairs; and a complete set of Goldsmith Postal cards from The Columbian World’s Fair, Chicago, 1893. Railroad stock certificates and military paper and ephemera from 1856 through Vietnam are included. Political items include several First Lady free franked envelopes and signed letterhead letters from various US Senators 1940’s. Checks and drafts also are in the sale, with some Territorial, and a wide variety of miscellaneous paper collectibles.
