Benefit Shop Foundation Announces Orentreich Foundation Auction On Oct. 7

September 18, 2020

The Benefit Shop Foundation Inc. announces that it will present the Orentreich Foundation Art Collection Auction on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. The estate is brand new to the market and features artworks collected over several decades by the founder of the Manhattan and Cold Spring, N.Y., organization. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the biomedical/medical research foundation. The first 50 lots have been catalogued and are online, with more being added weekly. I was very excited to be offered this collection, which was carefully put together over many years by the collector. The artworks cover a range of styles from the post-war period to contemporary art, said Pam Stone, owner and founder of the auction house. Rather than include this in one of our Red Carpet auctions, I am giving the collection its due this fall with its own auction. The auction gallery is located at 185 Kisco Ave., Suite 101, Mt. Kisco, N.Y. For more information, call 914-864-0707 or visit www.thebenefitshop.org.
