Carnival Glass Punch Bowl Set Achieves $90,240 Tom Hall Auctions Sold Rarity On Dec. 2

By Karl Pass - December 26, 2025

Tom Hall Auctions based in Schnecksville, Pa., sold a rare Northwood Acorn Burrs aqua opal carnival glass punch bowl set for $90,240 (including buyers premium) on Dec. 2. The set features a large punch bowl on a matching pedestal stand and several accompanying cups. The pattern, though realistically depicting chestnuts, is known as Acorn Burrs. It is made from iridescent or carnival glass, which displays a vibrant, colorful shimmer with green, blue, and golden highlights. The pattern was introduced around 1911 by the Northwood Glass Co.
