Coin Auction Results

By Karl Pass - January 23, 2026

Based in Kinzers, Pa., Embassy Auctions International, LLC had a diverse ancient coin sale on Dec. 18. Held through invaluable.com, the sale performed well, further indicating a marketplace with depth. Here are a few pieces sold, both domestic and international and their hammer prices, without buyers premium. A Morgan Silver Dollar, 1921 D NGC MS 65, realized $425, and a Peace silver dollar, 1921 high relief, key date, raw, sold for $295. A 2009 $5 Gold Eagle, ANACS MS 69, brought $360. An ancient Anastasius I, AV Solidus 4.4g, 491-518 AD, Constantinople mint gold coin sold for $775, and a Heraclius, AV Solidus 4.5g, 612 AD, Byzantine gold coin, $700.
