Decorate For The Holidays With Antique Or Vintage Items
The Emporium To Commemorate Thanksgiving With Sale And Raffle
November 19, 2021
When the calendar turns to November, one major holiday comes to mind, Thanksgiving. Sometimes decorating for Thanksgiving can get shortened or forgotten between the Halloween and Christmas celebrations. As a national holiday, it is a day of giving thanks for blessings from the preceding year. Today, we celebrate Thanksgiving with family, friends, and food. For many, the best time of the day is the turkey dinner. In some households, the turkey has been replaced with Italian dishes, fish dishes or vegetarian dishes. It does not matter what the main course is, it is all about the people present. With the supply chain of many goods backlogged at the nations major ports, the dealers at the Historic Burlington Antiques and Art Emporium wish to remind readers antiques and collectibles make great holiday gifts and are also great to decorate and use at the holidays. It seems possible if certain merchandise is simply too difficult to find or even get, some people may discover the joys of buying something with character that is antique or vintage. Antique co-ops are one answer to this issue. The Emporium in Burlington City, N.J., is a 15,000-square-foot building filled with antiques and collectibles, which make great gifts for Christmas. The Emporiums merchandise includes jewelry, pottery, glassware, furniture, paintings, prints, man cave items, lamps, toys, and much more. Burlington City also has three other antique shops within walking distance to the Emporium. On Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, the Emporium will give a complimentary poinsettia to the first 50 customers purchasing items totaling more than $25. The multi-dealer shop is also holding a Black Friday raffle, filled with donations provided by Emporium dealers. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 26, with the drawing to be held Tuesday, Nov. 30.
