Application Process Open Online Through April 8
March 03, 2023
After a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community in 2022, planning efforts are underway for the 2023 Doylestown Arts Festival. This years event will return to the historic streets of Doylestown, Pa., on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The annual festival is free of charge to the public and designed for all ages to enjoy. Festival organizers are accepting independent artist applications and live performer applications online through Saturday, April 8. Participating artists and musicians will have the opportunity to showcase their unique talents to thousands of locals and visitors in a pop-up outdoor marketplace that takes over downtown Doylestown. Known for attracting an audience of buyers and collectors, the Doylestown Arts Festival has supported local and regional artists and performers for over 30 years. The festival is also seeking partnerships with local art and cultural institutions that are interested in being onsite at the annual event. The Doylestown Arts Festival is proud to promote Doylestown and Bucks County on a national level, including putting a spotlight on Doylestowns art and cultural district. To round out the experience, the Doylestown Arts Festival is seeking additional applications for art-based activities to help to build an exciting energy throughout the event and unify the town-wide experience around the arts. Applications for Art Activities and Cultural Partners are open through April 8. Home to over 8,000 residents as well as the Michener Art Museum, Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle, TileWorks, County Theater, and a robust array of galleries, restaurants, and locally-owned shops and boutiques, Doylestown is recognized as a destination town. The Doylestown Arts Festival is made possible by a small volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown and is presented by the Thompson Organization.
