Fashion Lecture Series

On Wednesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m., Historic Rock Fords Fashion Lecture Series welcomes April Thomas of Fashions Revisited as she presents Topping It All Off! Headwear, Bonnets, and Hats in the Last Quarter of the 18th Century. This presentation will take place in the Langmuir Education Room on the first floor of the Rock Ford Barn. Admission is for the lecture only and does not include the Snyder Gallery or Hand Mansion. April C. Thomas is the owner of Fashions Revisited, which provides authentic, historic reproduction clothing and patterns. Thomas has over 25 years of experience in living history and historic costume design and holds a degree in fashion design. She is a graduate of the Winterthur Institute program, and she collects antique clothing and textiles that she uses in the development of her historic patterns. Historic Rock Ford, located at 881 Rockford Road, Lancaster, Pa., is comprised of the General Edward Hand Mansion and the John J. Snyder, Jr. Gallery. It is owned and operated by the Rock Ford Foundation, a private, not-for-profit corporation.
