Fiddlers Antiques Show In Nashville Bought By Puchsteins
By Tom O’Hara - August 21, 2020
Kay and Bill Puchstein bought the rights to the Fiddlers Antiques Show at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tenn. One of the several Americana Country antiques shows held at or around Valentines Day weekend every year for over 30 years, the show has experienced a change of ownership several times. Bill and Kay Puchstein are popular antiques show promoters whose experience includes owning and managing the monthly West Palm Beach Antiques Show, several other shows in Florida, and the Burton, Ohio, one-day Summer Show. Jon Jenkins, owner and manager of the Nashville Show, the anchor for that winter week of antiques at the Nashville Fairgrounds, said, There couldnt be a better successor than Bill and Kay (promoting this show). Jenkins Nashville Show has about 150 exhibitors and has been among the biggest shows. The Fiddlers Show, named for the motel in which it was held for many years, and founded by Jons father, Steve Jenkins, was a popular venue that fell in its in popularity over the last dozen years. This was in part due to the accessibility and conditions at that former site. In February 2020, for the first time, the show became a companion to The Nashville Show in the adjoining building at Nashvilles Fairgrounds. With the change in its location, the show was sold out of dealer spaces and enjoyed great success with the shoppers, with easy access and parking all on the same grounds. Kay Puchstein plans to fill the hall with about 100 exhibitors selling country and Americana. My heart is in country antiques, and Nashville has been the place for shows with that focus for about 40 years. Bill and I have exhibited there for at least 31 years now, as long as weve been married, commented Kay. The Fiddlers Antiques Show/Fiddlers at the Fairgrounds will be held on Feb. 17 to 20, 2021. The couple has already begun telling exhibitors about their new ownership of the popular show, with the reactions universally positive.
