Locati, LLC wrapped up its 2025-2026 auction season in June, holding 10 sales of fine and decorative arts and one dedicated jewelry sale. The sales averaged 413 lots, with a sell-through rate of 95 percent, and averaged 267 successful bidders across five online platforms, as well as in-person and absentee bids. Consignments across multiple collecting categories were sourced locally but also further afield, including Boston; New York City; and Princeton, N.J. In January, Locati featured the Americana collection of Bill and Nancy Haase, of Zionsville, Pa., which comprised painted country furniture and accessories. The group comprised 112 lots and totaled $103,788 (including buyers premium) against an estimate of $42,160 to $63,040.Among the top lots was a robins egg blue-painted Pennsylvania dry sink, selling for $5,280. Despite a snowstorm, the collection drew spirited bidding from collectors in the room. Metals were at an all-time high this year, and both silver and gold performed well. Locati handled several large consignments of silver, including a collection of 83 lots of mostly American coin and sterling silver sold across several sales, that brought $80,031. The group included a coin silver beaker by Colonial silversmith Nicolas Roosevelt (1715-69) of New York City, selling for $2,625 in February. Roosevelt was of Dutch descent and one of 21 silversmiths working in NYC during the time period. For the last sale of the season, Locati featured a collection of 107 works of art, including a group of fine Japanese satsuma earthenware assembled in the first half of the 20th century. Offered with an aggregate low/high estimate of $49,800 to $78,900, the collection brought $197,131. The top lot was a large, finely decorated, covered vase by Yabu Meizan (1853-1934), realizing $57,500. Meizan was known for producing high-quality wares and won several awards at world expositions, including the 1889 Paris and the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. June also featured a Tiffany & Co. Sterling silver three-piece tea and coffee service with tray, ca. 1902-07, with a total approximate weight of 291.6 ozt, that went for $16,940 in the room against a $15,000 to $20,000 estimate. A Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period Chinese Famille Verte figural porcelain plate sold for $4,680. Other highlights from the season were a landscape by local artist Joseph Barrett (b. 1936) titled Road to Lahaska that sold for $9,062 against a $2,500 to $3,500 estimate and an 18-carat Black Starr & Frost 8.74-carat diamond tennis bracelet, bringing $9,075 against a $2,000 to $2,500 estimate.
