McMillan Fatmac 950 JDL Bolt Action Rifle Sold For $35,650

October 13, 2023

Conestoga Auction Company, a division of Hess Auction Group, recently held a speciality firearms auction on Aug. 25. The highlight of the auction was a McMillan Fatmac 950 JDL bolt action rifle selling for $35,650. McMillan shows that only three rifles were made in .950 JDJ caliber. Two bidders, one local and one out-of-state, were vying to be the next owner, with the winner being the out-of-state bidder, who wishes to remain anonymous. A couple other lots to note were a Spencer Model 1865 .52 cal. saddle ring carbine, which sold for $2,300, and a LAR Grizzly Big Boar .50 BMG bolt action rifle, which sold for $2,875. Prices reported include buyers premium. Both of those sold to out-of-state internet bidders through Proxibid. The companys next firearms auction is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 10, at 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.hessauctiongroup.com.
