The Mechanical Bank Collectors of America and the Still Bank Collectors Club of America have announced the annual convention as one event to take place Saturday, May 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. It is a free event and free appraisals will be available. These two collector clubs have held their own seperate events in the past and have decided to combine to hold one convention for both clubs. Members from all over the country and abroad look forward to the event, which will include seminars, presentations, tours of local collections and, of course, buying and selling banks. The convention is open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. Thousands of mechanical and still banks will be for sale. The Philadelphia Marriot Old City Hotel is located at 1 Dock St. in Philadelphia.
