Mid-Century Shines In Locatis Sale
James Mont Lacquered Console Cabinet Sells For $2,500
March 25, 2022
Locati LLCs February sale concluded on Feb. 20, with particularly strong results achieved for mid-century art and design, led by Grande Maternite by Pablo Picasso. We achieved pace-setting results for modern furniture, said co-owner Michael Locati. Pre-sale excitement surrounding excellent examples of modern furniture turned into very strong results. The Picasso also did very well. New auction records were set for works by Philadelphia artist Helen Bershad. Seven paintings crossed the auction block, with Reaching, a large abstract work on canvas, achieving $1,300. Locatis March sale ran from March 6 to 20 with bidding open on LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, and Bidsquare. Bidders are encouraged to preview at the companys facility in Pineville, Pa. Additionally, Locati hosts a free appraisal event on the second Saturday of each month. To learn more, call 215-619-2873. For additional information, visit www.locatillc.com.
