Musical Performances Return To The Frick
By Karl Pass - March 28, 2025
Celebrate the return of live performance at The Frick Collection. Since 1938, the Fricks concert series has captivated audiences with performances by world-class soloists, chamber groups, and pioneering early music ensembles. Following a hiatus during the institutions renovation and enhancement, the series returns in the new Stephen A. Schwarzman Auditorium, opening in April. The museum will present a two-week music festival, April 26 to May 11, inaugurating this new auditorium. Audiences are invited to experience an expansive program of baroque, classical, and 20th- and 21-century music, presented by extraordinary soloists and ensembles. The Frick Collection is an art museum in the Upper East Side of Manhattan established to preserve the art collection of Henry Clay Frick. Mainly consisting of 14th- to 19th-century European paintings and other pieces of European fine and decorative art, it is housed in a Beaux-Arts mansion designed for Henry Clay Frick when he moved to New York City from Pittsburgh. There is also an art history research center and library and now auditorium. To learn more about the music series, email concerts@frick.org.
