The annual Old Morgantown Glass Collectors Guild (OMGCG) convention and glass show will be held Friday and Saturday, June 3 and 4. The event will take place at the VFW Hall, 340 Holland Ave., Westover, W.Va. Ten vendors will be present to display and sell elegant glass treasures. The show will feature a door prize of five Anna Rose tumblers with optic. Speakers will include Joanie and Odie Fincham. Their presentation is titled Duncan Glass, 1850-1950. Other speakers on the schedule will be Anne and Max Blackmore, who will speak on the subject of Fenton Glass. There will be an auction at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall on day one that is open to the public. Featured auction items are all donated by members of the guild and will include a 30-inch-high red Blenko vase. Pre-arranged phone bids for the Blenko vase will be accepted until Wednesday, June 1, by calling Leora Leasure at 412-217-2083. Please note that if the buyer requires shipping, it will be carefully packaged and sent USPS insured Priority Mail by the guild at a cost of $50.
