PA Auction Center Sells Coins, Currency, And Jewelry

On July 15, PA Auction Center held its monthly Coin, Currency and Jewelry Auction at its facility located at 1141 Wea Wit St., East Earl, Pa. The sale was a live, on-site auction with online bidding available on two internet platforms. With a total of 319 registered bidders, prices soared on the 310 lots of coins and currency. The 63 lots of jewelry also performed well. Highlights included (2) 100 oz. silver bars selling for $2,600 and $2,650. Prices reported include a buyers premium. A 1 oz. Gold Eagle coin realized $1,850 and another, $1,900. A lot of $20 face value quarters with 90 percent silver brought $400; a series 1917 $1 U.S. note, $210; an 1871 Indian cent, $175; a 1890 CC Morgan dollar, $110; and a 1878-S Morgan dollar, $80. Jewelry results included a 14-carat Freemason pendant realizing $600; a 14-carat bracelet, $390; and a 14-carat gold bracelet selling for $450. A New Invicta 50mm watch went for $100.
