The Elverson Show
Among The Best Regional Antiques Show, Exhibitors Showcase High Quality Material
November 18, 2022
The fall edition of the Elverson Antiques Show was held Oct. 29 and 30. The weather was picture-perfect, and Pennsylvanias fall foliage was at its peak. Showgoers enjoyed beautiful scenery on their way to the show and stunning high quality items inside. This show was held at the Twin Valley High School, conveniently located by Exit 298 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Morgantown and Elverson, Pa. Because the show benefits the girls and boys lacrosse teams, students, parents, and advisors supported the show by providing food and porters. The crowd rushed through the doors at opening, eager to see what the dealers brought for sale. Showgoers were there to buy, and many left with purchases. The 41 dealers came from eight states, and many of them reported strong sales. A variety of items were sold, including stoneware, cookie cutters, baskets, folk art, advertising, fine china, textiles, butterprints, holiday decorations, and painted smalls. The Elverson show is an important regional show in todays marketplace where advanced and beginning buyers are looking for buyable merchandise. Shows such as Elverson, Lititz, Kempton, and a few others are attracting the same or better attendance figures than certain higher end shows and are a fraction of the overhead cost for the exhibiting dealers. Dealers and customers alike commented on the enthusiasm felt throughout the show and were making plans to attend the spring edition, which will take place on March 25 and 26, 2023.
