March 12, 2021
The Morgan Library and Museum proudly presents an exhibition celebrating the remarkable collection of drawings assembled by one of Americas foremost art dealers, Richard Gray, and his wife, the art historian Mary L. Gray. Encompassing works made in Europe and the United States between the 15th and the 21st century, the Gray Collection represents a stimulating survey of key aspects in the long and distinguished history of drawing. Conversations in Drawing: Seven Centuries of Art from the Gray Collection, on view through Sunday, June 6, includes many outstanding works from the collection, which was amassed over the course of nearly 50 years. It is organized by the Art Institute of Chicago in cooperation with the Morgan Library and Museum, New York, and made possible by an anonymous donor. The Morgan Library and Museum is at 225 Madison Ave., New York, N.Y. To learn more, visit www.themorgan.org.
