Haars Auction of Dillsburg, Pa., also known as Hardy Auction Services, run by Vickie Hardy, held a special one of its weekly Monday night sales on Dec. 7, with a good assortment of toys, antiques and various collectibles. Vintage and new Matchbox cars have an audience and good market right now. Several Matchbox gift sets sold, one bringing $520, and one $675. The latter was a G9 gift set. A Matchbox G1 gift set realized $1,200. A Mr. Robot antique toy went for $270; a large cast-iron school, $120; and a handmade folk art rail car sold for $400.
