Vintage Kitchenware Is The Topic Of Special Sales Display
January 12, 2024
A cold winter day is the perfect day to enjoy making, or consuming, some homemade cooking. And theres great comfort in reminiscing about grandmas chicken noodle soup or moms apple pie and envisioning them working in the kitchen using their wood-handled utensils and well-worn metal pans. Nostalgia for using or displaying vintage kitchen wares never seems to wane, and the special sales display for January at the Haddon Heights Antiques Center is all about that. Shop goers will find cookbooks and recipe files, hand mixers and vintage electric ones, pots and pans, coffee pots and cookie jars, nesting Pyrex bowls, and vintage pot holders and aprons. And because kitchen ware reflected the color trends of its era, there will be a rainbow assortment of reds, greens, and yellows from the 1920s to the 1950s as well as the mid-century pink and turquoise or avocado green and harvest gold. With two floors to explore, plenty of additional kitchen items can be found throughout the many dealers booths and cases. Indeed, for over 30 years now, the Haddon Heights Antiques Center has been noted for its wide variety of antiques and collectibles as well as its generous discount policy. The shop is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,with extended hours on Fridays. It is located just off I-295 and the White Horse Pike at 531 Clements Bridge Road in Barrington, N.J.
